Inspired by experiences that cannot be seen directly, her work investigates the ways memory and imagination become visible through photographic imagery.

Through still life photography and photomontage, she transforms ordinary objects into symbolic elements that evoke personal histories, sensory recollections, and the wonder of childhood imagination.

Vânia is a Brazilian-Italian visual artist and photographer based in Texas. She moved to Dallas as a teenager, an experience that shaped her perspective on culture, memory, and belonging.

Her first artistic influence was her mother, a painter whose creative practice nurtured Vânia’s early interest in the visual arts. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Visual and Performing Arts with a concentration in Visual Arts from the University of Texas at Dallas.
